related issues in the community. The traffic unit has a radar trailer
available to neighborhoods to educate drivers. The radar trailer
can be placed in a neighborhood and displays the actual speed to
the driver. This trailer has been successful in educating drivers
and neighborhoods of the actual speed that vehicles are traveling.

BIKE
PATROL
The
Lebanon Police has a bike patrol to augment the conventional uniform
patrol. The bike patrol officers are trained in accordance with
the International Police Mountain Bike Association standards. The
bicycles allow the officers to have better contact with the community
as well as travel places that a police car cannot. The Bike Patrol
also sponsors a bicycle safety course during the summer to the youth
of the community and the winter Copcycle ride in the winter. For
more information on the Bike Patrol, contact Ptl.
Robb White.
